Out in Front

By Opie Beadle

Out In Front took the stage at the Fine Line in Minneapolis on February 23, 2026, opening for Bryce Vine. Only a few months after their last visit in November, the band returned to a bigger stage, louder and more confident than ever.

At the center of it all is lead vocalist Madie Renner, whose vocals are just as powerful live as they are in the studio, if not more so on stage. She also asked how dating life is going here in the Minneapolis scene, to which the crowd had very contradictory opinions. Besides the typical crowd banter after performing their song “Wake Up,” Madie had some words to say about the current climate of Minnesota and the nation, saying, “speaking of wake up, I think America needs to wake the fuck up, Fuck ice, that's all I have to say. I think politics do belong in punk music.”

Though they weren’t the headliner for the night, Out In Front delivered a set that left a strong imprint on the crowd with their active stage presence, bringing a blend of pop punk and alternative rock to the table. The band thrives on sharing constant high energy with everyone, never leaving the audience with a dull moment. This band deserves more recognition than they are currently receiving, and if this show proved anything, it's that they are headed to bigger places.
