Lyn Lapid - Softly, Boldly, Evermore

By Nelson Zheng

This is Lyn Lapid's first world tour with her debut album Buzzkill, and there's just something quietly special aobut Lyn Lapid's show. She doesn't need flashy visuals or huge choreograph to hold attention

When she walked onto the stage, it didn't feel fast at all. She took her time to speak and interact with the audience; she filled every bit of space between her and the crowd. Songs like "In My Mind" and "The Alternative" hit harder because they sound like thoughts you've had before but never said out loud.

Between songs, she jokes with the audience, tells stories behind the songs, and laughs at herself when something goes slightly off during the show. That's what makes her so magnetic. It's not perfection she's chasing; it's the connection. For every city, she would choose a poster boy for the song "Poster Boy," the room glowing with warm lights and voices singing every word back to her. You could tell this music means something, not just to her but to everyone that's there that night.

Lyn Lapid's World Tour feels like being let into someone's diary; it's personal, raw, and real. She doesn't need massive production to move you—just her words, her voice, and a room full of people who love her, who see themselves in her songs.

If you ever get the chance to see her live, GO! you'll leave feeling lighter, understood, and maybe a little braver.
